Juicebox vs Metaview: Different jobs in the same hiring stack (2026)

This comparison stands apart from most on our blog, because Juicebox and Metaview are built for different use cases in the hiring stack.

Juicebox is a sourcing platform: it finds, researches, and engages talent before the first interview. Metaview focuses on what happens after that first conversation: capturing interviews, writing notes, and structuring key findings. Recently, Metaview expanded their product line to add a sourcing agent of its own.

In this article, we’ll focus on answering two questions: how the products serve different use cases, and what Metaview's sourcing add-on actually does if you're considering it as a sourcing solution.

TL;DR

  • Different core use cases: Juicebox is a sourcing-first platform, focused on natural-language search across 800M+ profiles, autonomous sourcing Agents, compliant outreach, and a recruiting CRM. Metaview is primarily an interview-intelligence product: AI notes, scorecard autofill, and reporting on interview data.
  • Metaview's sourcing is a metered add-on: It's sold per seat at $100–$300/user/month, and the meter is on profiles sourced per month. Juicebox works differently - unlimited searches with no cap on the profiles you can surface, because sourcing is the core product. It's convenient for teams already in Metaview, not a standalone sourcing platform.
  • An agent without a platform underneath: As of July 2026, Metaview's sourcing has no candidate CRM behind it - nowhere to organize talent pools, rediscover past candidates, track recruiter activity, or run ongoing engagement. That's enough to pull a few profiles on the side; it's not enough to build a talent pool that compounds over time.
  • Juicebox is built for precision and scale: Metaview only offers an autonomous agent where you describe a role and wait for it to return profiles. They don’t offer a core search to get hands-on and fine-tune the requirements yourself. Juicebox gives you both: manual search across 250+ filterable fields with your ATS talent pools visible in every result, plus agents you can launch on top of your own search work or run fully autonomously, then multi-step sequencing to nurture candidates over time.
  • Only Juicebox audits its AI: Both companies hold SOC 2 Type II. Juicebox adds ISO 42001 readiness and an independent AI audit center run by Warden AI.

What each product actually does

Juicebox is built for everything before the interview. It searches 800M+ profiles across 30+ sources in natural language. From there, autonomous Sourcing Agents can take over: they run searches continuously, learn from your feedback on candidate quality to sharpen strategy in real time, and write multi-step outreach in your team's voice. Every candidate comes enriched with market compensation data, company context, and talent-flow mapping, and network sourcing surfaces the warm intros your team already has. Underneath it all, a CRM and hiring-manager workflows keep the whole team working in one place.

Metaview is built for the conversation itself. Its Notetaker joins interviews, captures them, and turns them into structured notes; scorecard autofill pushes facts into Greenhouse and Ashby; AI Reports lets you query across every interview your team has run. If your problem is inconsistent interview data, it's a well-regarded tool for that job.

The overlap between the two products is new and narrow: Metaview recently introduced a sourcing agent of their own too, which deserves its own section.

Metaview's sourcing add-on

Based on Metaview's own pricing and help pages, here's what the sourcing product includes today:

  • A metered add-on. Sourcing is sold per seat: $100/user/month for 200 profiles a month, $300/user/month for unlimited, so cost scales with the number of profiles you source, regardless of their fit with your requirements.
  • An early outreach product. Sequences launched in February 2026. Unclear whether sequencing supports aliases, multi-sender campaigns, or configurable threading.

For a team already working in Metaview, sourcing a few profiles without switching tools can be genuinely convenient. It's a useful extension of the core product.

However, the question is one of product use case fit. If sourcing is a primary part of your job, a dedicated sourcing platform will go deeper. A product that caps profiles by credit and a months-old outreach product is a shaky foundation to build your outbound channel on.

If sourcing is an occasional need, the add-on may be all you require.

An agent without a platform underneath

There's a second, more structural difference. When a Juicebox Agent brings back candidates, its work sits on a full sourcing platform: you can open the search behind it, adjust the filters, see instantly which candidates already live in your ATS, and manage every profile in a CRM built for shared pipelines.

Metaview's agent brings back candidates, the agent is the product. As of July 2026, Metaview publishes no manual search product and no candidate CRM: you describe a role, profiles come back, and your options are approve, reject, or re-prompt.

That's a fine fit if you just want a few extra profiles on the side. It matters more when outbound needs to become a core pipeline channel.

On Juicebox you can:

  • Drive the search yourself. Run manual searches across 250+ filterable fields when you know exactly what you're looking for, from power filters to security clearances and beyond.
  • Access your ATS in every search. Instantly check coverage against your existing talent pools, and rediscover internal candidates alongside 800M+ external profiles.
  • Launch agents on top of your work, or on their own. Start an Agent from the search you just built, or hand it the objective and let it run autonomously. Either way, you can inspect the work and change its strategy mid-search.
  • Build a pipeline that compounds. Re-enroll profiles across different sequences, or nurture the ones who aren't ready, so this quarter's "not now" becomes next quarter's hire.

An agent is only as good as the platform it runs on. Without one, you can't dig in to fix weak results, and you can't retain the learnings or results from the good ones.

What running outbound as a channel actually requires

These are the things every talent team looks for once outbound recruiting is more than an experiment:

  • Deliverability that holds up: Verified personal emails with a 8-step waterfall, infrastructure built for handling millions of emails each week, and granular open/click rate tracking.
  • Compensation data: See what candidates actually earn using data exclusively licensed from Levels.fyi and other trusted providers.
  • Talent-flow mapping: Real-time insight into where talent is moving before you send the first message. Go deeper with talent flow charts across your competitors.
  • Advanced filters: View similar profiles from any strong candidate, filter by tenure and company size, review GitHub activity for engineering searches, and surface what profiles imply but don't state outright.
  • Network sourcing: Start with a warm intro instead of a cold email. Juicebox surfaces candidates your team already knows or has worked with before.
  • Hiring manager workflows: Calibration and review loops happen inside the platform, so alignment doesn't live in chat threads.
  • A recruiting CRM with granular permissions for teams working shared pipelines. Every recruiter can see who's been contacted, what stage they're in, and who owns the relationship, so no candidate falls through the cracks and no one gets double-messaged.

Metaview's depth runs in the other direction, into interview data: capturing conversations, structuring notes, and reporting on what happens after the first call. That's a real strength, and for teams focused on interview intelligence it's valuable. It's simply a different layer of the hiring stack than the outbound sourcing machinery above.

Your ATS is the hub (and probably the best home for your notetaker)

Both products integrate with Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, and the other major ATS platforms. The difference is depth. Juicebox connects to 50+ ATSs and CRMs, and the integration works during sourcing, not just after it. Internal talent rediscovery runs alongside every external search, you can source against your ATS data, and outreach activity syncs back automatically.

A common setup looks like:

  1. Juicebox finds candidates, enriches them with compensation and company context, and runs agent-driven outreach.
  2. Interested candidates flow into your ATS through auto-export, which you can configure to fit your process, for example exporting only when a candidate replies with interest.
  3. For interview capture, the ATS itself is probably the best home for your notetaker. Ashby offers one built in, and Greenhouse has announced one. Dedicated tools like Metaview, BrightHire, and Granola are a good option if your ATS doesn't provide one.

Each tool does the job it was built for, and the ATS holds the pipeline.

Only Juicebox audits its AI

Both companies clear the security bar: SOC 2 Type II on both sides, GDPR programs, and public trust centers. Juicebox goes further with ISO 42001 readiness and an independent AI bias audit published by Warden AI

With NYC Local Law 144 in force and the EU AI Act phasing in, AI systems that decide which candidates get seen face the most scrutiny, and that's sourcing. If procurement asks for an audit of the AI making those calls, Juicebox can easily provide one.

What about pricing?

Juicebox is a premium platform, priced for teams that hire seriously, with clear plans published at juicebox.help/pricing.

When Metaview is the right call

If your main bottleneck is interview quality, think lost notes, inconsistent debriefs, or scorecards that go unfilled, Metaview is a strong choice. It does that job well, and it's worth a close look for teams focused there.

It's also worth knowing the landscape: interview capture is an active category, with tools like BrightHire and Granola in the mix, and some ATS platforms now include a notetaker of their own (Ashby already does, and Greenhouse has announced one). So it's worth checking whether your stack already covers part of this.

For most teams, the answer isn't Juicebox or Metaview. It's Juicebox for sourcing, paired with whichever interview-capture option fits your stack best.

Frequently asked questions

What's the main difference between Juicebox and Metaview?

Juicebox is a sourcing-first AI recruiting platform: natural-language search across 800M+ profiles, autonomous sourcing Agents, compensation data and talent-flow mapping, network sourcing, and a recruiting CRM. Metaview is an interview-intelligence product: AI interview notes, scorecard autofill, and reporting on interview data, with sourcing available as a credit-metered add-on. In short, they focus on different stages of hiring.

Can I use Juicebox and Metaview together?

Yes. Because they cover different stages of hiring, they complement each other rather than overlap: Juicebox fills the pipeline, your ATS holds it, and Metaview captures the interviews. All three integrate with major ATSs like Greenhouse, Ashby, and Lever.

Can Metaview replace a sourcing platform like Juicebox?

It can cover light, occasional sourcing for teams already working in Metaview. Their published materials describe it as a per-seat offering that includes metered profile credits, third-party profile data, and a newly introduced outreach feature. However, if sourcing is a core part of your hiring strategy, a dedicated sourcing platform will go further, with uncapped search across 800M+ profiles, autonomous sourcing Agents, and workflows built for teams.

Is Juicebox SOC 2 certified?

Yes. Juicebox is SOC 2 Type II certified and ISO 42001 ready, with documentation at trust.juicebox.help and an independent AI bias audit published by Warden AI. Metaview also holds SOC 2 Type II; it does not publish an independent AI audit.

Does Juicebox do interview notes?

Juicebox focuses on sourcing, outreach, and pipeline intelligence, and connects to your interview stack through 50+ ATS/CRM integrations. For interview capture, teams use their ATS platform’s built-in notetaker (Ashby, Greenhouse) or a dedicated tool like Metaview, BrightHire, or Granola.
